Idea 1:
- blue onyx back wall to give the room a refreshing feature of colour that relates to the rippled water and harmonious movements of washing your face.
- square onyx block in the middle of the room but has glass cut out in shape of an onyx form to give resemblance to the back wall as well as a natural feeling as you can see the water in the sink. This gives a refreshing organic feeling. I also like the idea of being able to stand in the middle of the room and look at either the feature wall or the glass window
- white walls to emphasis and not distract from the feature wall
- rainfall showering head to give rebalance to the nature aspect and also gives a refreshing organic feel. I also like the idea of the sound it will make which will also emphasis the organic aspect I am after
- more subtle onyx feature wall so the the patterns and colours aren't too overwhelming.
- sink mounted on the wall to give more of a simple standard approach.
- plain white wall so it doesn't distract from the feature wall or patterned glass
Idea 3:
- this was a similar approach to my first idea accept I have mounted the sink to the wall to give the room more space and connect to the feature wall.
- I have also incorporated a water flow at the top of the wall so the water falls down the wall, symbolising the running of water down a rock face.
Idea 4:
- my forth idea is the same patterned used idea 1 and 2 as I like the beauty of the natural patterns formed within the onyx
- I have taken inspiration from an architect of the sink. I like how it has a modern look to it but is also made out of natural materials. I like the use of repetition with the rectangular shape and onyx on the wall as well as the base of the sink.
- as well as idea 1 I have used a rainfall showering style for the water flow.
- In the example you can see I have also incorporated a side view to show how the glass window will look. I like the idea of patterned glass so I developed it to go with the harmony of my room. I had the idea of replicating the pattern of my onyx feature wall on the textured glass to give repetition and to show texture that flowed through the room. I also this this could look effective from the outside liking in to see the colour show through behind the glass.
- the glass will be textured therefor will not be see through. This is to emphasis my idea of privacy/publicity. The window creates the idea of exposure from the inside through natural light and a hint of the outside world but form the outside you are unable to see through to the inside, therefore, creating the idea of privacy.
Idea 5:
- shows how I have moved the onyx texture throughout the walls in the room. I thought this would bring more character to the room yet it also might be too overwhelming with colour and texture
- I used the plank with the sick as a bowl sitting on it to show a modern turn on a natural sink. The sink is made if white texture stone and the platform the plain white onyx.
- I feel like there is too much going on in this roo and takes away from the idea of simplicity I originally have.
Idea 6:
- idea 6 shows an extremely large bowl shaped sink in the middle of the room. My idea with this was to instead of wasting just your face, but also please your whole body too. My idea was to create a cleaning room.
- I feel like the idea is a completely different aspect of what I am aiming to show, therefore, it might take away the relevance of my initial ideas.
