These first tests are water colour tests on paper and get medium tests on paper. I tested water movement and colour using different techniques and layers to create the effect I wanted.
For my first test I used plastic sheet and gel medium to create the 3D raised effect. I liked that the gel medium dries translucent giving a distorted view when looking through it.
This is a shot of the condensation that i saw on my window one morning. I like the effect it gives when looking through the glass up close. I would like to experiment with this idea further.
On top of the gel medium plastic sheets I then began to experiment with water colour to give a water/liquid type effect. I liked the way the water colour merged together, it created a nice ripple.
